Google gets more videos

Google announced monday that they will be buying YouTube.com for 1,65 billions dollars and will be paid in Google shares.

According to the company, the 67 employees of YouTube.com will keep their job including founders Steve Chen and Chad Hurley. YouTube.com will manage and supply Google's video section.

Even if since its debut in 2005 YouTube.com haven't made no sugnificant profits, 100 millions videos are watched every day on YouTube.com and they have 47% of the video search market on the internet compared to 22% for Google, according to HitWise Inc. So this will put Google at first spot with 69% of the internauts looking for videos landing on Google's video pages.
